Do napisania wprowadzenia autorkom udało się namówić wciąż najbardziej rozpoznawanego Polaka na świecie, czyli Lecha Wałęsę.

Kupiłem, przeczytałem parę rozdziałów – to rzeczywiście bardzo ciekawy portret Polski dla tych, którzy są jej ciekawi.

Już z doboru cytatów otwierających rozdziały widzimy, że przyjęto konwencję trochę pastiszową, która jednak zaciekawi czytelnika. Jest to jednocześnie bardzo amerykańskie podejście – podkreślające dobre strony i uznające, że duma z własnego kraju nie jest niczym, z czego należałoby się tłumaczyć.

Książkę warto kupić na prezent („Give as a gift”) tym znajomym ze świata, którzy są zainteresowani naszym krajem. Albo i samemu przeczytać, aby popatrzeć, jak można promować Polskę za granicą. To ostatnio dość gorący temat.

Wśród książek, które są udostępniane za darmo, znalazłem dzisiaj tytuł, który był na mojej liście książek przeczytanych w 2015: Global Asset Allocation: A Survey of the World’s Top Asset Allocation Strategies – Meb Famer – jest to porównanie różnych metod inwestowania opartych o alokację portfela. Autor sprawdza, jak te strategie wypadły w ciągu ostatnich kilkudziesięciu lat. Oczywiście z perspektywy Stanów, bo czegoś takiego jak polska hiperinflacja lat 90. żaden amerykański doradca nie przewidzi. Dla koneserów. :-)
